Re: Anti-racism/sexism/-isms, a flashpoint of contention is how to properly separate the effect of systematic and historical oppression from proportionally rewarding by the degree of persistence and enterprise. Many people don't want to consider that they've been handed an easier time than others. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hD5f8GuNuGQ And so the important first step is for the more privileged to realize that premise... like a fish doesn't realize it's surrounded by water until it flops on land. And some water is cleaner than others... [/stops metaphor]
I watched Dominique Crenn's "Chef's Table" Netfx episode and was very taken by her poetic, introspective approach to cuisine, so it's nice to see that she has a similar method to team-building! Resumes are 1-dimensional and mostly measure how good someone's at word craft, but gauging "potential" is a tricky art that is often clouded by biases (hence more reliable to evaluate relevant work skills as per https://lyingtoourselves.substack.com/p/turning-trash-into-treasure, and having inputs from diverse people along multiple dimensions, beyond the obvious appearance but also e.g. thinking patterns)

I've been putting off Chef's Table, sounds like I need to jump back in...
This is great progress I love it. We’ll done. A fair exchange of value - I love reading it and you love the engagement.
